Putting a black man into a story just to fill a quota is as bad as not putting him in consciously.

You cast or draw whoever comes naturally. That's the way it should be.

If you don't include a black man in your script thoughtlessly, there can be no racism behind it. It's all about conscious choice.

Actually, they need more Asian and Latino superheroes, not black ones.

Blacks are overrepresented in American media while Asians and Latinos are underrepresented (meaning the % of tv shows that feature characters of that ethnicitiy compared to their actual % in the population)

How am I racist for pointing out Caucasians and Hispanics receive less financial help than blacks? It's a fact. And the so-called American "equality" is BS. If things were equals blacks would be treated just like everyone else, no better no worse.

Let me tell we don't have this problem in France. Blacks or any other race aren't receiving any financial gain from their skin colour or descent. Everyone is the same, and the laïcité prevents religions to have power over the state. You guys have a lot to learn from that system.

I agree with Norrin 100%. Treating someone differently because of ethnicity is discrimination, it doesn't matter if it's in a positive or negative way.

Also the ideal to treat everyone equally is never going to happen.
But I hope we reach a point where people are all given the opportunity to achieve what they want.

I don't mean a free ride.
Some are born rich and some are born poor and that will never change, but the poor people should still have the same opportunity as the rich even if they have to work harder for it. And even with that hard work it may never happen. That should not be because someone is stopping you, instead it should be because that person has just reached their limit.


I also think the equality ideal is usually misinterpreted and turns out to be a double edged sword.
In the 1980s I remember they first tried to make huge changes to regulations for handicap people.
It is high in my list of stupid things.
They made it mandatory for thousands upon thousands of regulations to be implemented into businesses to make them more accessible to the handicap.
This hurt businesses especially small ones and created many loop holes for people to sue and bully others for financial gain.

Just like I said "they should get rid of black history month" I say "they should get rid of these stupid handicap regulations".
