Lightbulb OMG! SWEET PC! Plz help though!

I was checkin TigerDirect and saw an.. AMD Athlon 64 4200 + Dual Core PC Processor with fan.

    Processor Speed : 64 4200+ / 2.20 GHz

    Processor Interface : Socket 939

    Processor Class : Athlon 64 X2

    Cache Size : 1mb

    Bus Speed : 2000 MHz

    Additional Technologies : HyperTransport

    Fan : Included

Is that a good computer? And can it run Guild wars and other good 3d games? I wanna double check before i beg my dad into getting it for me.. He's not into that whole "Buy Online" thing... Also, is buying it online trustworthy? That's his main problem.. So, answer that for sure! And, this is in the states, right? Therefore, there'd be shipping charges, right? Ack! And does he havta give his credit card number or can he pay when it comes?

So, thanks and please answer these ASAP. 'cuz, you might JUST see me playing some online 3d game ^.- Merci!

I get all my stuff online, depends whether you trust your shipping and handling, really. Heh.

I'd say that looks good for a gamer PC, I'm not too up on the gamer PC's now a days I just use my notebook that I got from Alienware, yes a fortune but I like it and don't play games often on it.

the amd 4200+ is an awsome cpu for gaming. it should be able to handle all the top games. it could probably run 2 guild wars at the same time smothly. so yes the 4200+ is a very good cpu.

thats just a prosesor, you still need a mother board, sound card, video card, ram, computer box, power suply, CD, flopy drive, hard drive o_O i dont think you'll be running any game with just a chipset.

rofl No Kidding I was gonna say "Where the hell is the grapics card or anything?" I ahve to agree that a chipset probably won't run any games on it's own. That can't play any game without a grapics card, let alone without everything but a chipset.

Who needs RAM when you have hamsters, rubber bands, a pile of cheese and a hamster wheel? Oh that's right, Sora does. :P

That's the problem. From what I can tell, you aren't looking at a PC, just a processor. I think. Correct me if I'm wrong. Maybe a link would help?

What AMD's run the newest and best 3d games? So far, i know AMD Athlon 4200 Dual core is THE best... But I'm not sure if i'll be able to find one close by. Well, tell me what some of the computers and stuff out there are compatible with and what ones can run most or ALL 3d games. Thanks! ^.-

    AMD and Pentiums please.

If some one on page didn't say anything. What you have there is a CPU, you still require a mobo (motherboard), a GPU (graphics card), RAM, and perhaps a new tower, DVD player, Harddrive, and Power supply.

I know. I'm already past that answer. I'm now onto what ones can run best or most 3d games. And what computers are good and recommended, whatnot. But thanks for considering ^^

I found another DAM good ad.

AMD ATHLON 64 3700+, 1MB Cache, 2000MHz FSB, S939. It has GREAT gaming performance and GREAT overclockability. It's the exact same core as the FX-55 & FX-57 chips and can easily overclock to 2.4 & 2.6 Ghz on air cooling, so basically you're getting a $1000 dollar chip for a REAL REAL cheap price(read any reviews that you can find)! -EVGA nForce 4 SLI Socket 939 mATX Motherboard, based on NVIDIA nForce4 SLI chipset. It has 4 dualchannel ram slots and SLI 2 PCI-E x16 slots. Both only been used for half a year, i still have reciept and retail boxes. I'll throw in 2x256 Samsung PC3200 rams($60 value) FOR FREE. After looking through well known comp shops, the cheapest price for 2 items all together is $362.9 BEFORE TAX. I'm asking only $270, preatty much you are buying the cpu off me for retail price and I'm throwing in a free EVGA nForce 4 SLI Socket 939 mATX Motherboard and Rams(thats $190 vaule of comp parts FOR FREE). If you are an extream gamer and looking for nice deal, instead of all these BS, crappy, over priced comp that they post on website. THIS IS THE DEAL YOU WANT!

Is that good enough to play guild wars and most 3d games that are good? I'm still looking too. By the way, tell me if this is the WHOLE thing or just the CPU.. I didn't check much cuz im no expert... Thanks!

And this one... Do what the guy says and make an offer. I dunno a good price for a baby like this.

1 AMD ATHLON 64 4000+ / 1MB Cache / 2000MHz FSB / Socket 939 / San Diego Core / Processor with Fan. never used still in sealed box. Got it for a present but I'm goin am2, this thing has no use for me at all.. Sold for $481.92 after tax retail in stores, but since its a present i dont really have a price in mind, so email me and make an offer. but please make a offer that if you were in my position you would accept

I am betting this is eBay correct?
because if it is, he says no where in there, that it is working, meaning if you get something broken Paypal will not give you money back.
Any ways you would require 2 more 256mb ram sticks, most people prefer even number amount of ram because they say it runs better.
Is the Mobo the person is offereing a ATX Nforce 4 SLI board exactly?

This sweety would look good in my room too ^^ Any tips guys? It's for like $210 i think. Can it run most 3d?

++PRICE DROP++ INTEL P42.8C 800MHz FSB, 512kb L2Cache processor(one of best out of P4 s478 cpu, read reviews)can''t find it in stores no more. -Asus P4P800SEmobo(great mobo, read reviews)supports SATA, Dual-ChannelRam slots up to 4gigs of rams, AGP 8x graphic. *AND GOT ASUS STARICE 4IN1 FAN(best s478 cpu fan, read reviews on it)REPLACED STOCK FAN, SO CPU CAN BE OVERCLOCKED FROM 2.8 TO 3.6 EASY!! Yes s478 is old but if you arent crazy gamer that wants to piss away $1000 on amd based comps or if you got decent AGP card, then THIS IS THAT DEAL. Go look around stores, I gathered cheapest prices for every part, it comes to $370 BEFORE tax & best P42.8 cpu they got is 2.8B 533MHzFSB. I''m asking $210, that''s $130 for the CPU and $80 for the mobo, preatty much if you don''t bargain I''m throwing in the ASUS STAR ICE FAN FOR FREE (that''s $56 value CPU COOLER FOR FREE) Call me or email me anytime, if not home try 604-781-5658. If you like the pics of the comp parts I''ll send it to ya in email. ONLY IF YOU REALLY INTERESTED, PRICE IS NEGOTIATEABLE.

NOTE : FOR THE RECORD, WHAT IS OVERCLOCKING?
