Or you could just, ya know, talk to your children.
The graphics suck kids are gonna do what they wanna do pointless.
Might as well just tell them to wrap that shit up and pray. Atleast then they get to do what they wanna do with protection.
Half a million........for that.

That's BAWSE.
I assume that most of the money went into the mocap suits/connectivity.A subject like this is simple, just flash some posters around of STD infected parts and you're good to go.
Reputation: 292Or how about instead of teaching something that is worthless and doesn't work you tell them to use condoms, birth control pills or to pull out before they *******.
Or teach them this.
And if you feel like they will ignore that make them take care of a baby for a day or two. You can also scare the living sh1t out of them by explaining to them all the consequences but keep to the facts.
And if they don't listen anyway then they will just have to live with the consequences.
Abstinence is one of the most useless approaches you can take.
Teaching a hormone filled teen to restrain their sexual urges will not do crap.
Even a lot of adults are ignorant and don't think of the consequences.
Heck even the adults wanting to have a child seem to forget the huge responsibility of taking care of one.
Oh and I noticed it was from Fox News which is typical.
And it makes me angry that they are using federal tax dollars for this useless pile of sh1t game.
They have been touting this abstinence crap for a long time and all it does is increase the teen pregnancy rate....
Reputation: 154Hmm, abstinence is the literally the only 100% effective method to avoid getting an STD or someone pregnant. Condoms can break, birth control pills can fail, and coitus interruptus can have a failure rate between 15%-28%. Not to mention that the pill and pulling out don't protect from STDs.
Abstinence doesn't work, eh?
Except in our society, so many times people try to avoid the results of their actions, in this case, abortion.
fap fap fap
Very true.
Nice ad hominem.
I find myself in agreement, I don't want boatloads of my tax money going to this game, just as I don't want my tax money going to games that would support safe sex, or groups giving out condoms to children in schools.
I don't have to time right now to research the effect of abstinence promotion on the teen pregnancy rate, but that's something I will check on later.
Reputation: 292You missed the point of my argument.
On teenagers abstinence is not as affective, their brain is not fully developed and certain areas of the brain affect reasoning which is one of the areas that is lacking.
I bet most teens think and act a lot differently when they are really horny. I remember (as a teen) wanting to do things I probably wouldn't do if I was not horny. And I always got this weird feeling right after sex or masturbation, I would sometimes feel like getting rid of my porno stash. I guess the equivalent today would be wanting to get rid of your porn videos or pics on you hard drive right after you are done masturbating.
Sure telling a kid that not having sex may be the best way, but you should not leave out the education of sex and the various ways to lessen the chances of pregnancy and diseases.
You and your partner can always get a check up to see if you are both in good health.
Most of what I see from advocates of abstinence don't want to also educate about sex.
Also it's not an ad hominem attack because it is relevant to the argument as Fox News is extremely right wing and they tend to leave out any strong valid points against they views.
Don't get me wrong I don't trust most news sources because most our funded by corporations. Fox News is just one of the most well known ones that make the top list. With shows like Bill O' Reilly and Glen Beck you can already see the craziness.
I would trust a news source more if it were funded by the people.
Also I would like to see the data that supports abstinence, and try to find credible data that actually points to a direct correlation with teen pregnancy and pregnancy rates.
I can find articles supporting both sides claiming to have evidence.....so the least biased and most credible source would be much needed.
This is what I mean....
