I use Virgin Mobile. $25 a month for 300 minutes, unlimited web, unlimited messaging (includes email, picture, media, etc.)
I have an LG Rumor 2, but it was ~$80. Its worth the extra money for the full keyboard...its not a terrible phone. It has some funky problems, but really nothing thats not easy enough to work around. If you really CAN NOT save up an extra $30, they have shitty phones for like $5...but I suggest just saving up a tiny bit more for the full keyboard.
I'm the cheapest mofo out there, so, trust, this is the cheapest plan. And AFAIK Virgin Mobile is really big in Canada as well...but, I'm in the US so...
