Monitor turning black.

So my monitor keeps randomly turning black, it just happened as I was writing this post. It's been happening for a couple of days now. I checked all the connections etc. It's not going on standby either because I turned that off and the light changes colour when it's on standby. Any ideas? I hope it's not on its way out. Oh and it seems to happen more when I'm watching videos in fullscreen, but that could just be in my head.

maybe your monitor is about to die soon? you might want to get a professional to check your monitor's status.

I fixed it guys! Just reinstalled my drivers, seems to have fixed whatever problem I was having, for now! Thanks to everyone.

I'm bumping this thread because the problem is back. Infact reinstalling my drivers didn't help at all because it came back within a few hours. The monitor isn't actually turning off because it's still glowing and the light doesn't change, tried another monitor and that one works but it's tiny and sucks. Any ideas of what I can do?

Gaah guess you can't double post here, never knew that because I've never tried it :P I guess I'll wait and see if anyone sees this.
