Display properties... /suicide

Hey guys!

So, my display properties menu hasn't worked for months and I never needed access to it until yesterday... My computer's resolution automaticly changed to 1024x768 somehow and now I can't get it back to 1200 x 768 ...

Anyway, does anyone know how I can access my display properties menu again? It just doesn't load whenever I click the icon.


PS: I have Windows Vista, I don't have the cd anymore.

PPS: My monitor is an Acer x223w.

PPPS: NO, I don't have any viruses. I triple-checked it before posting.

PPPPS: I have already tried System File Checker and it didn't work :3

goto display

set resolution

open up your graphics driver menu, ATI/NVIDIA usually have control panels.

push START button on your hotbar down there V . and goto your control panel then goto display.

Pressing the display properties icon just doesn't do anything. I can't press the 'theme' icon either. They seem... disabled or something.

the problem is, he most likely doesn't HAVE a graphics card. I already told him he can go into ATI/Nvidia's control panels to change the resolution

I actually do. They are up-to-date, Snow.

download it, extract to folder, right click on the ICC file and click "install profile"

Doesn't work. Nothing happens.

Guys, do you have any experience with HijackThis? I just did a scan and I have no clue if there is anything 'bad' in the log. I don't want to fix things that don't need to be fixed.

Lol. you should be able to right click and go to the catalyst control center or nvidia panel. If that doesnt work and going into your regular control panel and doing it from there doesnt work, reformat after you save important files to a thumb drive.

Your issue could be caused by a number of things. We suggest that you format because, otherwise, we could play the guessing game all day. If you don't have a Windows disk then perhaps you should look to Ubuntu or another Linux distro, atleast until you purchase a Windows licence.

Also, post your HijackThis log.

Weird. It should work. I'm certain it's only used 2 times. By me and my father and the last time I used the dvd I just installed without the use of the key. Why didn't you just use an activator and download removewatt225???

The 3-times-use thing is an urban myth.
