It's a big dungeon map called the labyrinth. It's an adventure-mode style map, meaning that it's against the rules to destroy or place any blocks (although I allow non-block entities to be placed, but not destroyed). The rules obviously can't be enforced until adventure mode is out, but I'm not too worried about that. The point of the map is to advance through all the levels and eventually reach the outside. :) I'm still playing with the difficulty a fair bit. There are difficulty levels in-map (you'll start with different items) even beyond the actual difficulty levels in-game. But even on the lowest difficulty settings, the map is still meant to be challenging.

Each level has its own theme or challenge. There are maze levels, jumping levels, climb levels, areas where you'll have to use boats, minecarts, areas where you have to avoid pigs who will try to push you into lava, and more. I have some cool ideas for new levels as well: future plans include underwater levels, arena-type levels, freefall block avoiding rooms, and a few other things. Of course you'll have to deal with a lot of mobs on the way; you can find many hidden chests or areas with better items to help deal with said mobs too. If you die at any point in the map, you'll respawn near a checkpoint area, where you can quickly restock on items and minecart back to the beginning of the last level you reached. In the future there should also be a co-op version of the map for SMP. This essentially means more mob spawners and perhaps a few additional challenges which can only be worked through with another person.
