Yea, not changing my stance. Private servers are stupid and dealing with the idiots that come off them in a game is beyond annoying.

Reputation: 101It's great playing an even more deserted game than the official version, with the addition of so many problems. Really fun getting disconected a dozen times and lagging the whole time you manage to stay online. Come back tomorrow to find out the servers are down, try to login for the rest of the month but there is just no fucking chance it'll come on again. Time investment completely wasted. They always try to change something big and always fuck up so bad.
But, $88m... If this guy declares bankruptcy will the debt be taking care of? Will he have garnished wages for the rest of his life? I'm unfamiliar American laws like this, and I'm curious to see how bad this guy really got ****ed.

Reputation: 38heh, I remember playing in scapegaming for a long while, they charged outrageous prices for in-game stuff and A LOT of people bougth them, it's funny how those idiots spent real money on a private server, a fking private server, they must be crying tears of blood right now
Reputation: 36Don't Blizzard have enough money?
There was a clash awhile ago with the scapegaming staff. someone quit or something and they hacked him and did shit to his computer. And he revealed that someone took his server engine or some shit and Alyson Reeves was pocketing so much money from the server donations I think she was making somewhere around a million a month back when i read it.
Irony, private servers are run by skecthy hackers and those servers are really unbalanced and glitchy. The devs of some of those servers hack for the hell of it and they can do it so easily.
Nice, like Blizzard needs more denaro. It's nice to see them scare private servers though. One question, is it bad if i have more fun on a private server then I do on regular servers?
Pservers are for the kids that their parents dont let them use a credit card. Yea, i went that far.
Reputation: 882those 2 lines dont mix very well lol, your having fun playing on a private server but at the same time u think its nice they scare private servers? :s
anyway if your having more fun on a private server stick there, but you will miss out on allot of features/experiences u could have had troughout the original WoW server :P. higher xp rates makes questing kinda pointless which takes away whole gameplay parts again, auction house doesnt run as good as on the original server and you will probably miss out on allot of instances because of the lack of players.
worst thing of all u get used to the fast xp rate on private servers so much u wont even be able to endure the original WoW anymore cause that suddenly feels slow :P (this applies to every private server out there)
this is kinda how i destroyed ragnarok for myself too btw lol. i got used to the fast rate too much and now the original RO feels like a boring grind, so i really regret playing on private servers. i played on a WoW pserver once and i can see why its fun at first but its also fun for like a 100x shorter duration :P so not worth it imo lol
I wonder how this private server is going to get 88million.
apparently she herself is going around suing people, including staff.
Scammed people out of their money, using the story of a boy who drowned to "Donate to their family". She spent the donations on herself. The donations to Wowscape were around 3-9mill(per month or week, cant remember)
It's just karma
she was making 500k a week off the server according to her bank statements that some one leaked on the scapegaming forums a long time ago
Reputation: 20god damn 500k? that's ****ing crazy...
Reputation: 27Looks good on em. The only time I'm okay with private servers is when it's a game that no longer has a host or will ever have a host again..... a game that only survives because of private servers.
