    Companies buy other companies and expand; that's how it goes.

    Hopefully they can improve the AV, the most recent I checked, it still sucked hard.

    Really? I still find it to be a great AV and have for the past two years, before that it was kind of bad.

    I haven't kept up with security developments lately, but I doubt I'll ever really trust Norton or McAfee. They may have made great strides, I don't know, but prior experience stays with you.

    Though, to be sure, smart surfing is the most important thing.

    I'm aware of the cycle.

    I'm just saying I doubt they will improve it.

    And yeah, McAfee sucked pretty hard, weren't they the company that did that wrong update which rendered thousands of PC's useless?

    I uninstalled McAfee. It caused me more lag then it was worth.
