I'd say SOE take a grate step. EQ2 Extended will be the best f2p game on the market. and the new UI/Map improvement is pretty decent!

Not worth it, it's too gimped to play F2P.

And if your thinking of subbing for gold, it's still gimped. Same classes and races as F2P.

You might aswell just play EQ2, one sub, all unlocked.

Actually, it's not all that gimped compared to other games, the only things I think sucks is the bag slots, mail system, guild system, and money system.

If they sold classes and races seperatly they would do much better. I think I'll email them and suggest it but I'm not sure if it will do any good.

I know I would continue to play it if we had that option.

Well, when you buy a race, it's always bundled with two other ones, which I don't really know why some are bunch with others, (Seriously who the hell even plays a troll anymore? >_>)

I can't even launch the game, it keeps saying the server can't send access or something like that...its always at the Everquest 2 Extended log...wtf help me!

If you buy the real $14.99 sub not GOLD MEMBERSHIP on the FREE SERVER you have access to every NORMAL P2P SERVER. >_>

If you like the game get the P2P version before you get too deep. You can find Sentinel's Fate for like 30$ which includes every expansion and adventure pack and a month of time.

Subbing to the gold subscription is the biggest waste.

There is also a level cap, but that is on all subs so I assume it is another addon you have to buy.

You can get to LVL 80 as F2P, same as subscribers. Only way anyone gets to LVL 90 is if they buy the newest expansion, check here:

Like i said, the $14.99 sub on the FREE server (gold membership) gets you acess to eveything like the live sever, Apart from races and you have to buy the exp pack senital fate. I dont see how that is gimped? People these days want everything for nothing.

Wrong again, you don't get sentinels fate which is a good amount of content. Extended is just a ploy to gain money, nothing else. Only platinum gets the live experience, so have fun shelling out $200 up front for a year to get the actual game content.

edit: Don't forget you'd have to pay 40+ just to get SF expansion on top of the monthly fee, plus extra money for races, and tada you are playing MORE than the live servers.

I just gave it a try and i think it's pretty decent who cares if a certain class is only for paying users at least the game is decent to play from level 1 where in most games that's not the case

its pretty fun yeah, theres all these areas i never seen before lol
edit: only thing thats been bothering me are the controlls, some keys dont seem bound for me like the open Bags key, and escape doesnt work either so i had to go trough an endless list of controlls to bind them lol

also cant seem to get the graphics how i want it, i like advanced graphic options but DANG this game makes it complicated lol, i never seen this much options for graphics in any game in my life :s
