I think the consoles will go more of the casual route.

I remember when the PS3 was coming out Sony promised 1080P and way beyond 60 FPS but instead we get mostly 720P and 30 FPS and sometimes lower.

That is why I stick with the best gaming platform which is the PC.

I don't think the new consoles will come out for another few years and they will use mid end equipment that is gimped.
