You look fine. Just stay this way. I am longer and I weigh less, but that's just me.
Reputation: 38myself.. i want to gain weight in muscles.. still look weak god damnit >.<
im not a bodybuilder but im informed about weight training. At 148 lbs you shouldnt be trying to lose weight.... So go to bulking. If you have questions i can help ya out. You will trim out as you build musclde. Muscle burns calories fat stores. So increase muscle mass and you burn more calories.
Reputation: 85You look normal, should go into muscle gain rather than losing weight
I guess i want to gain more muscle mass. With my diet right now, im going to continue to lose weight (fat AND muscle) so i need help constructing a new diet.
According to one website, (http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm), my daily calories should be 2.2k, while some suggesting 2.5k+.
Need help tweaking this possible diet routine
Meal 1/breakfast (6 AM)- 1/2 cup of oatmeal with 1 scoop of whey protein
snack (9 AM)- 1 scoop of whey
meal 2/lunch 11-12 AM- Either a can of tuna (is this healthy?) or 2-3 egg whites with apple
snack/pre-workout 3/4 PM- 1/2 cup of oats with 1 scoop of whey
post-workout- 1 scoop of whey
Dinner- Chicken/beef/fish with broccoli
Even with this, i dont think im getting enough.
You look fine. Maybe you should work more on your core?
Didnt want to make my own thread so i will just post in this one
and about Cata|yst ,is it mass gainer or loss?Becouse im looking at gaining right now huh
So,in september im going to do some muscle training (im only 14,but oh well,i dont whant to be weak?) so,what about these proteins?

Proteins will only speed the process, they wont "unlock" anything. You are only 14 so I suggest you to speak with the gym owner, these people are usually well informed.
I have been training for 1 year now and never used any kind of product, obviously I'm not a bodybuilder but I'm satisfied with the results that I achieved.
What you should do is maintain the same weight (or maybe +10 lbs) doing core workout, Starting Strength or Strong lifts. Squat 1-2 twice a week, don't squat every training.
When you reach the amount of strength you always wanted, switch to bobybuilder routine. 5x10 with same exercises should do, and throw in bit of isolation exercises.
Doing that you won't get huge like overtrained buffalos, but you'll get decent amount of strength and close to athletic looks.
After each training I get hungry as hell, so it's really important to eat a nice healthy meal after each gym session. If you will do that you wont have any trouble gaining weight (unless you have a weight gaining problem).
You can also make a good protein shake yourself. Don't quote me, I never made one myself but I believe you have to mix albumen (the subtstance around the yolk), banana and milk. And again, I suggest you to speak with a gym instructor.
LOL weight gain and cut again, try and aim for 160.
I'm 158 right and 5 '8 but I just finished dropping from 180, but I'm not happy
with my muscle mass, which I care about more then my core or definition. GIMMMEEE BIG ARMS AND SHOULDERS lulz.
Theres lots of supplements you can find for weight gain.
Your meal plan phail.
Too little carbs and fats.
As a 14 yrs old, you shouldn't restrict yourself to eating. Eat more, train more.
Wait your 14? Lmao, you should just be exercising to stay in shape, not trying to gain lots of muscle and definition.
protein is the building block for muscle. i dont know what the **** he is talking about eating carbs instead of protein with weight training. maybe if you were marathon training that would work. carbs are pure energy, thats it. protein/amino acids is energy and building blocks for everything in your body. You will only gain mass as fast as your body allows you based on your protein intake and calorie intake. If you dont eat enough protein your body cant repair your muscle and you will not grow at all.You will have to train over a year to see any decent results, unless you take steroids or energy boost etc.
2.5k calories is the recommended intake for naverage sedentary lifestyle. If your playing sports, working out etc, you need 3k+ if not 4k+ depending on duration and intensity. If you do not see results, increase your eatage.
if your 14, keep your lifts to pushups, pullups, and LIGHT to MEDIUM resistance training. dont be lifting over 70% effort. stay in the 10-15 rep range.
and honestly, why are you trying to lose weight at 148 lbs? thats absurd. im thin as **** and im 160 lbs. You have a bigger frame dude. Just work out and you will start to look more defined. Youll be a bigger guy, its your frame, just tone it and cut fats low.
Get your little arms bigger, just lift, drink protein shakes, eat alot, yea. You can't really use the stuff i'm using since your a little boy haha, little.
Reputation: 36You don't want to build your body yet because it'll affect your growth.
It really depends how old you are, you stop growing at 18, so if you're 18 or older, go right ahead, if you're younger than 18 then just work your abs and don't lift too much.
Im 15, i think you are referring to orange? Anyway, wasnt this my post? lol
How about this diet for muscle mass? We can worry about the serving sizes later
Breakfast- ½ cup oatmeal with scoop of whey
Snack- handful of almonds/peanuts
Lunch- bread with tuna/egg whites
Snack/preworkout- oatmeal with scoop of whey
Post workout- whey protein with apple/banana/watermelon
Dinner- chicken breast/beef with broccoli
