Robot "Two places at once"
So I was thinking when I went to bed...
Its summer vacation, I went to visit my brother and his wife at their condo for a whole month. Then i came back a few days ago, I felt like complete crap. That life was a whole lot better than this one. I sit home all day, do nothing. But there, it was fantastic. Detroit, Michigan is my kind of place.
So when I was thinking of all this...what if we had a robotic figure that you control somewhere else.
The robot design will be four feet tall at least. You simply buy it for two hundred bucks. It can have a webcam sort of thing, so you can be home, on the computer or something controlling it and you can see what the robot is seeing.
They can invent some sort of hand thing like in Avatar, you move your hand, the robot moves, you walk, the robot walks.
Then when you talk, the robot talks, voices everything you say, sounds just like it completely.
So two places at once, your at one place controlling it and walking around, possibly a holigram of some sort to go with it. You can mover your arms to touch an object in the robots perceptive, you can feet it with the sensors on your hands.
So lets say your five hours away from your friends. You can put the robot there or something and be it. You go in the vehicle with your friends, they act all normally around the robot(you) and you can talk to them, communicate, and everything, just like normally you would if you were there.
If you want to play video games at a friends house and they live far away, you can use the robot and you can hold the controller, feeling it and everything and push the buttons and watch the screen.
Just a thought...now...
The question is, would this feel like your at that very location if they were to build something like this and work the kinks?
