Gunman invades Discovery building

SILVER SPRING, Md. — A gunman with an explosive device strapped to himself entered the Discovery Communications building in Silver Spring, Md., Wednesday afternoon and may have taken at least one person hostage, police said.

I guess he likes the Discovery channel a lot, but he says they aren't doing enough...he wants people to save the planet and stuff, but he said that they need to do MORE shows about the planet instead of Dirty Jobs and stuff.

There was a negotiation before he was gunned down?

He was in there for hours and hours. He didn't kill anyone, but he had hostages.

Rather than risk innocent peoples lives, they took him out. If the standoff didn't last like 6 hours, maybe they wouldn't have killed him. But, it was going nowhere and they got a clean shot.

Did the right thing IMO.
