First, you will need atleast month to level to 60 as a new player. So all you'll be doing for those days is constant grinding. You would not experience the end-game WoW has to offer. I highly suggest you try the 14 day trail and play the game first before you go and buy it. When you play, there will be many older players just playing end-game. There will be few ppl leveling up alts. It will be hard to find someone to level up with and befriend. All the game will be almost empty except for main cities.
Free, high quality mmorpgs are already out. Everquest 2 extended allows you to level up almost the max level. This month, I believe Lord of the Rings Online will have a free option of playing similar to DDO which is very good imo. So you have lots of good options, instead of wasting money.
