The F2P is actually pretty fair. It looks like they give you the base game for free with little limitations, but you still gotta buy expansion packs to raise the level cap and explore that content. And if you buy any of the expansions you go premium player instead of F2P.

LOTRO will be similar to Guild Wars now. Buy em and play em for free. Can pay a bit of cash for extra feature.

September the 10th is when F2P goes live for those who do not have an existing account.

September the 8th is when those who are subscribers or has an inactive account (not including any type of trial) can join the headstart for F2P.

I am laughing at all the people moving to this 'free' game. They'll be mad when they find out that 'free' doesn't always mean 'free'. They'll have to pay for 'additional' content, which would mean only playing about half a game.

It'd be like playing Guild Wars, just you only have Prophecies; none of the expansions. You're left out on so much of the content, there's really no reason to play.

Majority of the players that are looking forward to the F2P model, are well aware of the content and what they will get with F2P, Premium, and VIP.

Its really easy to obtain more content, and there is a guide on what to get and how to get all the content without paying any cash.

What I enjoy seeing is people like you who think they know something, but in reality are quite ignorant on what is possible.

Everything you did in the beta server will be deleted. Turbine points in your beta account are not usable in the official release.

Are there repeatable quests that gives Turbine Points? Making 4 chars just to buy expansion is crazy.

The 'priority login' feature just screams Silkroad and Knight Online, to me.

It just seems like a time-waster (as far as MMOs can go in being a time-waster). You spend hours working for something, only to need to spend hours more unlocking what comes next.

And yeah, if I was wrong or not, the ignorant comment was uncalled for, and I've taken it upon myself to ignore it like the schoolyard jab that it is. That should end it's further discussion.
Does it matter? If it bothers you just buy it. They're giving you a decent chunk of the game for free. It's nowhere near EQ2s money grab.

And I don't see login queues ever becoming a problem...
