most populated MMORPG would be WoW but its P2P
and i think NON 3D would be maplestory? i dont play it but i see all my little cousin play it and some of my adult friends which make me stay away lol
I mean my cousin is 8 and he says all his friends play so :/
But what i heard the game is pretty good so cant complain.
there a bunch of F2P MMorpg but the community sometime dont seem as BIG too me because most of the time there spamming or just afk with a trade shop open.
And F2P usually has bunch of B2W(buy 2 win) players.
I mean its calculated that most people who play free mmorpg and buy cashshop stuff spend more money then people who play WoW.
But that debatable due to if you only spend like 5 bucks a month on cs items.
And WoW you do have to buy the expansion to play next level cap, but each time you buy the expansion you get a free month.
So basiclly 3 free month if you buy the 3 sets.
I dont know how much it is right now but you can get the 3 set cheap if you find a cheap seller i got my brother WoW1 for 10 dollars BC for 15 and WotLk for 25 on trading forums.

I liked grand fantasia, fairly well populated 3d mmorpg. its free aswell, and you don't just grind. but you mainly do. still good.

The current most populated free 3d MMORPG is probably Runes of Magick. Once LOTRO goes free to play (with cashshop) in a few days, it will probably jump up into one of the most, or the most, populated free 3d MMORPGs.

I agree with this. Let's not forget Second Life which is technically an mmorpg. Just without grinding mobs ;p
