Great, burn their "bible" so that we start another religious war. Sounds like a great idea.
People are idiots.
Reputation: 35oh god ... i mean "oh guard" war is coming......
Seriously?
What the **** is the problem..?
If they have such a hard time with the mosque being built there, take the opposite sideway walk and pass it, there, no problem.
Wasn't The United States the country of free speech and shit?
Well then Florida needs to stfu and worry about whats going on in their state.
Like, really wha da fawk, is there problem....

I should update this but all my effort went into writing this lousy excuse.
Gotta agree. This has always been my main issue with the ground zero mosque.
Oh and, here's a bit about the event: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worl...1-victims.html
Reputation: 292Actually some of the Muslims said that for every Qur'an that is burned they will donated 20 (or more I forget the exact number) to libraries and other places across the city.
Even though I don't like religion I got a good laugh out of that.
It's a good peaceful way to deal with the issue.
You are comparing all Christians to one small group.
Just like you are comparing all Muslims to an extremist group.
Did you know there are Christian churches in Hiroshima even though America (considered a Christian nation by many, even though I don't agree) bombed it and killed tens to hundreds of thousands of civilians.
Or did you know that there is a Japanese cultural center in Hawaii even though the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor.
How about All Americans should not be able to build in america at all since our ancestors brutally tortured and ***** and killed the Native Americans and drove them off the land they used to live on.
Three other things you forget.
They are building it as a community center with places to play basketball, a pool and much more.
The man building there is Feisal Abdul Rauf who is a well known activist against terrorism for over a decade. Hey helps unite the Muslim communities in America and speaks for peace. He helped the Bush Administration after 9/11 and even aided the FBI on counter terrorism.
Also you forget that the man owns the property and can build there if he wants by law.
Oh my god! What an OUTRAGE!!!!
They're going to burn a fifteen dollar book?!?!?! No ****ing way those intolerant assholes!!! I am so mad I am going to post about it on the ****ing internet!
No, seriously though, burning a book pertaining to someones' religion is the equivalent of talking shit. So who listens to shit talkers anyway? The more you get mad about things like this, the more it fuels the people who are doing it, because all they want is a reaction.
Whenever the media gets involved in something like this they make things a thousand times worse. Let them do whatever the hell they want. If they want to be dicks, let them be dicks. Who are they harming? I like Final Fantasy 7. If someone abhorred FF7 because they preferred 8 and broke a copy of 7 in front of me, I'd just be like "Bro, you just wasted like 20 bucks, lol".
Haterade, and such.

The Westboro Baptist Church crashes a plain into an economical center in Saudi Arabia. Almost a decade later, secular protestants from Sweden build a community center with a small interior chapel a 5 minute walk away from the crash site.
Should they be allowed to?
False analogy is false.

Reputation: 785Hahaha, this isn't going to start a religious war. Don't be silly.
Yr over-simplifying things.
Only thing 9/11 had to do with our series of invasions and occupations in the Middle East was that none of us felt secure anymore, and we identified the source of the threat, so we went to attack it directly. It's only natural. It's not right the way we did it, but it wasn't because of a "slap in the face" like you mean it. It's a measure to protect us against outside threats by attacking them there. Afghanistan was harboring terrorists, so we swooped in there and took it out; Iraq was potentially developing WMDs that was a threat to Israel and ourselves, so we swoop in there to take it out.
This idea of yrs that America will invade because of pride is pretty silly once you get off yr pedestal and look at what really happened. I'm not saying whether the invasions were a good thing or not, I'm just saying why we did it.
*sigh* What a load of shit what do they get for disrespecting Muslims nothing but a self serving feeling of superiority that will wear off in a few days. Not to mention how stupid are they. They are making themselves a target for the crazy Muslims who might retaliate by burning their Church. I swear people are just too stupid these days.
Oh, and I forgot to add, say there are 5 cases of 5 different Christian families killing their children, would you think that every Christian family is capable of doing this?
How about a guy, he is a Christian, he rapes a women and kills her after, if something like this came into the news, would you believe that every Christian is like this?
Because I don't.
You get too much sources from the news, you should try to dig a little deeper on it and perhaps you will learn and understand a few things.
I never said everyone is, but the propensity to violence is so much higher than in other religions. Yes, i do indeed see it in the daily news, and have seen it alot during my youth at my hometown.
Depends on where you are. I wouldnt scream HEY IM A CHRISTIAN on the streets of teheran if i were you. Most of the Muslims, which might be around 90% don't even have any intentions of harm or whatever.
Lol? Of course they are. In almost all of those stupid terrorist videos you're going to hear some kind of WE DO IT FOR ALLAH, THE HOLY WAR.And the terrorist and extremist ones basically aren't even classified as Muslims by the religion.
The Quran neither says that women should walk around dressed entirely only revealing their eyes since everyone thinks thats true too :l
It does. From the Koran: Sure 24: 31:
And tell the believing women to subdue their eyes, and maintain their chastity. They shall not reveal any parts of their bodies, except that which is necessary. They shall cover their chests, and shall not relax this code in the presence of other than their husbands, their fathers, the fathers of their husbands, their sons, the sons of their husbands, their brothers, the sons of their brothers, the sons of their sisters, other women, the male servants or employees whose sexual drive has been nullified, or the children who have not reached puberty. They shall not strike their feet when they walk in order to shake and reveal certain details of their bodies. All of you shall repent to GOD, O you believers, that you may succeed.
I've been to turkey 3 times, all the women dress like that. It's not only in the western countries...they wear atleast a muslim headscarf and a garb, pants are frowned upon.
Of course it's wrong to sterotype muslims because of that, but it's a sad fact that terrorist assaults are justified with their religion.
Yeah, they might be saying they are doing it for Allah, but thats they're own imagination, they think it is correct, they think they will be praised for it.
Its not true.. really, The Islam is a peaceful religion.
It is only misunderstood by some idiots, and those idiots are literally breaking the religion.
Believe me, the Muslims that understand what ''The Islam'' even is, don't justify it one bit.
My family, which is half Muslim, and my friends which are Muslims hate Muslim terrorists as much as you probably do, you can hate the extremists, and the terrorist, but all that I am asking is, please, don't start to think that everyone is like that, the friends I have, are normal people, who like to have fun, they are open minded, and every other human of the opposite religion is just as important to them as someone from the same religion.
