Reputation: 292So wait why were all those people banned?
I want to know so I don't do the same thing.
You totally stole my signature bro. I was using that like..a month ago.

That reminds me; there's no room for criticism. Even if I wanted to voice a concern, I'd most likely be told to keep quiet like I was before, or just ignored altogether, like I was before.
Reputation: 785That's exactly the reason we have a 3-day temp ban for 2 infraction points. It's not so long the user is torn out of the community, but it is a very real slap on the wrist. And it gives them a chance to look over what they did wrong, or cool down if the infraction came from a flame war.
True, but it's still not a good business strategy. A lot of Onrpgs views come from our topics in the Free MMORPG boards. Googling a specific game sometimes one of the things on the first page is a topic from our boards.Mostly the things that mean anything are posted on the main page, and not the boards. I remember though one time the Sacred II contest was posted on the boards, and I tried to voice a concern and was immediately hushed by Gabe and Roxane.
Have I slept through it, again?
Damn you Europe!
Reputation: 47more like there is one mod that gets mad too easily and just instaban people.
i've seen it happen and thats why this thread was created. nay?
oh and we arn't that lacking to not notice some massive bans were due to ban dodging, it's really obvious to know.. thanks for explaining for other people that arn't aware though.
BeLady, that's not what happened.
People need to stop gossiping and deciding what happened. I recently got a PM blaming me for banning Orpheus, from someone who was simply told that I did. Not only had I never heard of him, but he was never banned.
Don't speak on it unless you know what's going on.
Why? Because I follow the rules rigidly? It's obvious you meant me.
It's no effort for me. I take it no more or less serious than other mods. It's always those who have been in trouble that have issues.
Reputation: 20Hey guys, seriously, stop it.
Mods shouldn't be doing all of this, we, well, some people got too far.
All of this doesn't need to happen.
Just discuss what you want, if you get banned, you should know what for.
IMO, anyone that got a ban, was asking for it loudly, and a moderator reacted on that shout.
Norrin Rad is just doing what he is told, and he is following the rules and the code of the forum perfectly, yeah, me and some other people get a little tired of the wall posting discussion that he gets us into, but in the end, we start it, and he ends up with the hard work, ending what we started.
Now shut up and continue having fun like we did a long time ago.

Reputation: 228fullmetal? rofl, his ban was long overdue. one less person stalking my posts.
thought you died too
The problem with the current mods, is that a lot of them don't know the rules themselves and then at certain situations, act on impulse instead of using the rulebook as guidance.
There are mods who pull the gun too soon and mods who don't pull at all. Also there are mods who punish others for something they have done themselves not long ago.
Then we have all this.. "But you did this yourself" situations.. etcetera....
It creates a whole misunderstanding between mods and users.
Another issue, there are journalists that try to mod and undermine mods by attempting to lecture them in terms of rules... creating more wtf.
Then there is Sandman53.
Reputation: 882good riddance.. trolling is really pathetic imo. its just a replacement word for 'acting like a total ******' made up by 4chan probably, which is where most of these banned people came from i think.
