But if you've got a new member on your hands that doesn't know not to go and post something random in the Free MMO section, is it really necessary to hand out an infraction rather than just let them know? Chances are, that person is going to apologize, read the rest of the rules, and not do it again. Meanwhile, if you hand out an infraction over something like that, that person is liable to rebel and cause more problems.

I just looked at your record and I'd say you simply hate the fact that you're getting punished, like many.

You have a history. Not to mention some of your posts have contained racism.

The times you've been warned for what could be consider minor offenses have resulted in you having no points added. They've simply been warnings, and you need warnings, because you clearly don't listen. You've only received pointed infractions when it's totally necessary.

My civil advice would be to stop going by what YOU think is ok to post. Start considering if the rules say it is. If they don't, you get what you deserve.

Now I feel like the mods sometimes drop themselves in it.
Giving someone a straight infraction is just going to piss people off futher, when a simple PM could solve the problem and end the argument there.
Of course this isn't going to work all the time and you are free to dish out whatever you feel is right.
But from my own expierances when I get an infraction it doesn't make me calm down or stop but rather think "Oh F**K off mate. Now I have to do something to earn that infraction".
This is of course completely my fault but when I was told by a mod to remove a signiture by PM without a warning on infraction added on to it I don't make a fuss.

If you do this however then ignore what I said but I know for a fact that some mods don't thats what I feel needs to change and that Free MMORPG should be changed to MMORPG section.

I'm one of the only mods who actually and observable tells people they can bring their issues to my PM box if it matters that much and they want to try resolving things. That's if I think they can be reasonable. People like Fullmetal do not want that. They want an audience, a following and a reputation to cause trouble. I have no problems dealing with them harshly.

We are not here to baby members. We are not here to appease their rage in fear that they'll get worse. If they get worse, we get harsher. We're not scared of our members and our members should not be scared of us, but the rules say to respect the staff. This is our forum and we run it well. Those who have such a problem that they'd cause disruption are the minority.

If your response, when you get an infraction, is to simply cause more shit, then I have no time for you. That's immature and, quite frankly, stupid. Yet, we're supposed to bend to that so you won't react that way? No. You'll simply stop doing it or we'll stop you doing it. That's what works for us and that's the way it is.

You over-estimate the ability of civil talking. The members who legitimately cause proper trouble, as stated, do not want resolution. They do not want a civil PM to talk about issues. They want me gone as a mod and won't rest until I am, so they're gonna end up very tired and beaten, as I'm going nowhere. It has gotten to a point, hilariously parodied recently by Xeno, that people are complaining about me posting at ALL. Even if I'm not a mod, I'd be here, and people would still be trying shit. More so, because I'd no longer be a mod. I'm not going to start footing the bill for trolls, because I can't afford that much.

I have spoken with the top admin and been assured that my services are appreciated and commendable. I have been told that yes, I could avoid some of this if I "chilled", but that's according to members. I was told that I am right to act as I do because to bend to the will of the loud minority is to afford them the credibility they simply do not have.

I'm a good mod, so are a majority of the people I mod with. If you don't like what we do or how, raise your point respectfully and don't be pissed if it doesn't work out. You can always leave. Making trouble just makes it harder for everyone to have a good time.
