    Default Situation : wat do?

    K. Family member lost a girlfriend recently. She wants to come party with me because "she misses me and drinking with me". She knows I don't hang out with this particular family member, nor does he live anywhere near me.

Intentions unknown. Shes only hung out with me once or twice.

It was a rough breakup for them. A touchy subject in the family.

So...I'm going out this Saturday...would you invite her?

I wouldn't. I tend to avoid touchy stuff like that, it may work good at first, but it can turn into a disaster. I'd say politely avoid her.

    is she hawt?

anyways probably maybe it depends how close i was to said family member, if i only talked to him like once a year on a holiday or something then i would, although ive never been to much of a family person beyond my aunt, uncle and first cousins.

Its not so much him that I'm worried about (we rarely talk) but his dad was really hurt by the girl (she was kindof a daughter to him for a bit, until she screwed him over quite a bit.) Everyone was hurt by her in his immediate family.

I'm really close to his dad, so I don't want his dad really pissed at me...

How closely related are you to this family member?

If you plan on dating/screwing a girl your friend used to date you might want to think about talking to that friend beforehand. If it's a distant cousin you rarely see, who gives a fuck, right?

If I we're you I would invite her, really, all you did was ask her to hangout (with other friends of yours I assume.) Play it by ear from there.

Yes, other friends of mine...but said friends would be heading home at the end of the night, and she needs a place to stay.......

Ehhhh...thinking is not so good of an idea...this is how terrible things happen, isn't it?

It could just as well be how great things happen. I can't read the future, neither can you. Play the hand as it's dealt.
