Pes 2011 vs fifa 11

The demos for both games are out and I was wondering what everyone thinks is the best football (soccer) game.

I am happy that EA actually released a good PC version instead giving it the old shoddy PS2 port.

FIFA 11 seems to control better for me while PES 2011 has a little bit of a notch up on graphics.

Both are pretty close in quality.

So what is your opinion?

P.E.S. is the better series by far, gameplay wise. Much more like real football.

They just don't have all the accurate kits/team names, because Fifa does. I care more about how a game plays, though.

I heard they had much better licensing then the last few years though.

Well, yeah.

Pro Evo can only ever have so much, though, due to Fifa having them all.

I love PES more coz they have way better gameplay.

I don't get why people say PES is more realistic. Look at this:

A simulation would be much faster. In PES, the players need alot of startup-time to dash at their max speed, while in RL someone can pretty much run at fullspeed in a matter of 1-2 seconds.
I mean, look at the gameplay.


And now, a real match.


The speed of the ball alone makes a huge difference, not to mention that the ball physics are completely unrealistic. Just take a look at the goalkeeper when he does a kickoff, the ball's in the air for like 4-5 seconds. The same goes for a cross, the ball is way too slow and in the air too long.

This year i'll prefer fifa over pes, the wannabe-realism thing ruined the whole game for me
