They're a bit boring. I'd rather get something like this:

Those converse shoes (a few posts above this one) are still more awesome :3

G-star raw stuff are the most ugly stuff I've ever seen in my life.

@TheSkald. They're a bit flat, but okay. With black you can't go wrong and if you keep the laces loose it probably looks decent.

@Groteske. Depends on the jacket. Leather jacket is a no go obviously.

I don't consider my self Hype..Nor really a hard core sneaker head but whoever said nike's are mainstream while saying Vans' are good and all are absolute tards.

I'm sorry, yeah every "punk band" and their grandma own a pair of vans. Vans, skinny jeans, plaid shirt, fitted/beanie. All people wear, that's not "swag", that's dressing like a conforming idiot.

Starting with shoes for ball ? I only have a couple pairs =/

My baby's or most treasured are..

    and

Both are super super super lightweight and have enough padding to soften impact. They feel like socks on my feet, but have nice ankle support. I've always like air pennys' so they're just natural selection for me.

Like every baller in the world, I have a pair of hyper dunks, but I have a couple ball shoes I don't really LOVE but wear.

My girlfriend ordered my a pair of..
    http://www.nike.com/nikeos/p/nikebas...csId=218821239

Haven't worn them yet, I don't really like colors but I've heard good things about them for ball.

Got LB Zoom soldiers, and just some old rusty bad shoes.

    Now more about style ?

My treasures, start w/ the HoF Jordons.

    Retro2's
Really nice with a few fitted I own.

I have some other shoes I just don't care about. I have 3-4 pairs of vans, Vlady's quite a few pairs of SB's but I mean athletically there's not a company that rivals Nike. Nike also avoid the idiotic people who dress exactly the same, you see..There shoes don't look exactly the same -.-.

didn't want this to come off as a "OH LOOK I COLLECT SHOES IM COOL" post btw..Just posting a few pairs that I've copped over the years and enjoyed, and my opinion on the BS "Nike's are mainstream, yet vans are totally never worn" bullshit.

And how could I have forgot..

People who say Nike is mainstream and then wear Vans, epic fail.

Haven't changed from my nike shox in two years, because they are just super comfy.

Too bad I wasn't talking about all Vans, just the amazing ska pair Which are most definitely not mainstream. You should learn to read, but then again it seems like the only reason you commented is cause you're a nike fanboy and you got butthurt

Just because you like one pair, doesn't mean anything. You are just as mainstream as me. Also, I am not a fan of Nike, just a fan of a shoe that is comfortable all the time, which is definitely not any vans shoe.

    Mainstream:

    http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Mainstream

    –noun
    1.
the principal or dominant course, tendency, or trend: the mainstream of American culture.
    2.
    a river having tributaries.
    –adjective
    3.
belonging to or characteristic of a principal, dominant, or widely accepted group, movement, style, etc.: mainstream Republicans; a mainstream artist.

The Ska Vans are neither a dominant nor a trend, nor are they part of any widely accepted Group, movement or style. Being a ska artist I can tell you that Ska is not a Widely accepted Style nor movement and it never has been. It's always been a minority even in europe mostly sectioned in England where the second wave of ska started. so how exactly are they mainstream I wonder? Unless you came up with your own definition of mainstream. They aren't.

They're the main shoes for emo kids tbh. Whenever you see a emo kid on the street it's either vans skate shoes or some Vans ska shizz. Also alot of people have them, so they're just as mainstream nikes are.

Understandable. The only thing I DO spend money on is shoes...I'm really hard on my shoes. If I were to buy walmart shoes, I'd blow them out in a week.

I walk everywhere and really need a good pair that can take a beating. I still refuse to spend over $80 on them though. I can always find a good sale online.
