I love smalltowns too. My hometown has ~80k people and I liked it though it was too crowded for me anyway.
Just got back from Letterkenny, nearest larger town. Bought lots of food and stuff. I must say that Ireland vs Latvia in terms of food, Ireland loses. You can't buy a good piece of fresh meat here on any other food for that matter. Everything is so artificial, so fake, the taste is 0, the quality is low. The only thing they think about I think is the looks of the product. Junk food is the only thing here which is top quality lol. I already miss a good piece of grilled meat
But other than it's cool. People are nice, everyone greets you on the street, people are just way too kind. Not used to it since in my hometown everyone and everywhere pretty much has a destructing face expression/mood.
Oh and no offence, but women here are....not pretty. So many crocs. And teenagers, everyone looks like drunk, over-dosed weed and wasted.
