Their biggest asset is also their biggest Achilles heel: Nexon Korea. If they were even half of the company that their parent company was, I don't think as many people would have the amount of the problems they do with this company.

You will never love a woman as much as Nexon hates talking to it's user base.

As far as better F2P companies? Hangame, Nexon Korea, 9you, OGPlanet, and in some instances ijji. Then you have P2P companies...which are pretty much leaps and bounds ahead of them with few exceptions.

They're just fine in my eyes...

I'm biased though because the only f2p company I don't like is aeriagames as it's the only company I've ever had problems with.

I'm also mad at NCsoft for that bullshit about needing your character's name to login to GW, but they aren't exactly f2p..so...yah whatever lol

mabi is mostly p2w because of statistics with ages and what not

basically free players either rebirth at age 17 or face weeks of doing almost nothing

age 20 you can start at age 17. but thats still not p2w. rebirthers dont gain anything but being able to start from lv 1 sooner. they hit end content faster and have nothing to do for ages.

From people well versed in our markets that know what will sell and what wont? Honestly you don't think that someone in a different country/market is saying "yeah, this is gunna sell like hotcakes there!", that just isn't the case at all.

true until you realize that free people also take forever to get to places, Iria is hell let alone the standard(that name is too confusing) continent

It sucks how you need at least $10 into the game before anything goes somewhat fast

Only downsides I see with Nexon is their customer support and anti-hack control.

its not a bad company yet its not one of the great ones either. the only reason why Nexon is considered a "decent" company is, most likely because of the big-name games that they have~ (Elsword, DFO, Vindictus, Mabinogi, MS, etc...)

Generally I like them, just the hacker/bot control is crappy, as everyone has agreed.
Well, and their prices can be a bit outrageous lol.
$24 for a permanent rifle in CA.
that's cool, but I think I'll just go get a new DS game if I have that kind of money...

Nexon : Alright, as soon as we hit $9999999999 obtained from dumb players who buy our expensive NXcash for expensively priced items (this is of course an estimated joke amount, but you get what I mean) , we'll release the next available patch for more contents that can get us even more money !
Nah they usually have cash shop sales or some such when that happens (same result though really).

I really just think they have some sort of strange very sharp, nearly exponential, update curve.

For both DFO and Mabinogi at least the first few months felt like we were lucky to get 1 somewhat significant update per month and now Mabinogi's practically caught up to the Korean version and DFO has been gaining speed even since 'official release' a few months ago.

MapleStory I can't really comment much on since I only play it off and on and even then only for a very short amount of time, but it seemed like the first few years whenever I went back it was largely the same with maybe 1 major new area added, yet when I tried it a few months ago it had several new classes new areas, and the grind was actually not soulcrushingly bad. So Maple seems to have taken it's time, but even that seems to now be in a state of rapid updates now. Combat Arms and PopTag I can't comment on.
