That is such a shame...it had so much potential.
I'm guessing that they're gearing it for a console release since there's basically no MMOs in that realm and a larger potential playerbase.

Reputation: 13Lawl, that video is ridiculous.
Nah, show me a game that NEVER uses twice or more the same tree, the same rock, the same bush or the same texture. Do it. Eh?Go on, show me a game with worse copy pasta terrain. Do it.

Reputation: 13Is Rage even releasedBut talking about Bethesda games, Fallout 3 have over and over the same undergrounds, the same metro entrances, the same buildings... if you so want the whole entire thing altogether.
Talking about copy-pasted terrain is crap argument.
Reputation: 192I would tell you, it is amazing!
I never got that whole copy-paste thing.
I've seen the area, and it's pretty much the only area like that.
Not saying it's not lazy, but, it's pretty much extreme nit-picking.
As for the Fatigue?
I've spent a week levelling Armourer, I'm one of the highest in the game currently.
Not hit any fatigue.
The game does have a few issues however.
The wards are probably the biggest one, second would probably be how maddening crafting is at times.
Could the game have done with more time in development?
Yeah, of course.
The game is VERY unoptimized.
They could have delayed the PC version like the PS3 version.
Reputation: 192I disagree a bit on that (release part), since beta ended, the optimization has already improved.
My friend can play pretty well with his dual core and 4850 atm, there are drops ofc.
But it seems to be better then in beta.
I have one six core and one 5770, will go to two 5770's sometime this week... but it already runs fairly decent on one.
There are some issues, but I'm sure that most of it will be fixed, and I'm also sure that the game will grow quite a bit.
Right.. if the game was getting more optimized id still be playing..
Clearly that's not the case.
I have worse FPS in retail then beta.. hench I quit.
AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 2.8Ghz
2x HD 5770 1 GB Xtreme Edition
8 GB Ram
Win7 x64
and not to forget the random stupid black screens at login after the last patch.
had to reboot to play the game, and im not alone getting those :P
meh.. shitty console port.
For me it was boring, especially because I crashed a lot, or models didn't load...
Reputation: 192Viiral, I have about the same pc as you, I only have a 1090t ( a little faster) 1 normal 5770 1GB, 8GB ram and the same OS, yet, after ob, I got more FPS.
I had that black screen issue in beta, I fixed it by messing with resolutions.
(making desktop lower, game higher.. game windowed and full screen switching, and making it normal and as the same as desktop again.. ect)
Even IGN said that there are Optimazation improvements.
I was in the open beta for a few weeks before launch and can say that while the game still requires a lot of hardware muscle to get it to run semi-smoothly, it does seem to be running better now. In the IGN offices we use an ultra powerful machine, but at home I use an Alienware M11x-R2 laptop with an i7, and have noticed a significant framerate boost. It's still far from smooth and could be improved, but at least there's progress.
I have a worse computer than you do.
Aside from the operating system anyway.
I get a pretty good FPS, however, I do know where you're coming from.
I had a similar issue in APB, my computer was a beast compared to my two friends, yet for some reason, the game had a completely unplayable FPS.
It's a mixture of things which causes issues like this, and you are correct, it is most likely the game, however, I have to ask, did you take all steps you could towards fixing the issue?
I mean, it's not like these issues should be in release, and such things should have been picked up in Beta, but, if there's some way to fix it yourself, you should try it.

Reputation: 10who can answer? is beta over yet? i got key but never download it.
Launch for S.E is in 2 days.
Reputation: 25It is as ppl say I figure, I played beta for 2 days and the only thing I like...sorta was the story-line, other than that; meh.
The crafting-system is fail, having to go through to 10 menus to equip items or craft is again fail. It's horribly unoptimized as ppl said before. The fact the game consists out of like 25k folders with 170k files (??? forgot the exact amount but it's a lot) says plenty to me. Sloppy coding and programming.
I wouldnt buy it but wait till they actually get out of the beta-stage in say... 6 months or so, lol
Reputation: 192All the hate.. yeah there are a few flaws, I think it's almost there.
Little bit work, and they can start on update content.
there huge flaws , but i cant speak to a huge fanboy that is .
the game was and programmed for the Cell processor on the ps3 thus , graphically the game isn't a huge point makers with the copy pasta terrain .
the big nice thing i loved was the animation the rest was terribad besides the story that is.
Reputation: 192Not a fanboi yet, but my friend runs it well on his dual core.
I have a six core and also run it fairly decent.
There's just some lagg in town, but once out, and there not a large number of players on screen.. everything is smooth..
