i played co-op twice with a friend, he said that his lvl up and the likes where saved when he left my game
best way to find out, go kill some stuff for say half a PP bar, then quit (be sure to save) and then see if his gained PP is still there.

I actually havnt even bought the game yet, because my friend and I were gonna play together on the PC. I tried the "can you run it" test and this is what I get. MY video card is a Radeon HD 5470 mobility...but it seems to not actually detect that, any clues on to if my computer can run this *****?

well, you can also *cough* it, see if it runs smooth and then remove and buy it on steam
though i have to add, capcom, i am dissapoint, no infinite mode, shame on you!
