Default Don't you guys get tired?

You hype up a game like crazy, anticipate it with excitement, play it for 1 month, quits it, and the game thread falls 10 pages behind.

    And

    /Repeat.

It's the circle of the mmo gaming life.

Well, at least it is for me (in most cases).
F2P games can only interest someone for so long. The ones I end up sticking with have a nice community, are deep in updates, and are extremely casual.

Some fail, some need time, and some just are just genius.

I've never played a P2P game however. Some Guild Wars, and that's it.

Hyping serves a purpose though as it helps in gathering a group of onRPGers to play a game for a while, which can turn a mediocre MMORPG into a somewhat decent experience. Sure, everyone will eventually quit it but at least you can say "Hey, I tried it out, had fun with some other onRPGers, time to move on".

That's the cycle pretty much. If you don't feel like participating in the hype you can simply ignore the thread and move on with your life, which is what several members do.

Or you can make a thread to complain about the hype, which serves no purpose. Whatever floats your boat.

    I dont Hype, only rage..
I put interesting-looking games on my wishlist and when they are released, I'd read previews and based from that, I make a judgement.
And yeah, I rage when i realize i have bought a crap game...

I am not complaining about the hype, I am asking. See, the game must have been pretty decent at some point, whether it was the graphics or the pvp or the overall gameplay that attracted you, and everyone rushes to join the CB. Once it reaches OB though, the game just dies down, even when what attracted you to the game in the first place is probably still there, so I don't get why the hype dies down immediately once the game enters OB.

And everyone just can't play a game together, it just dies down. You can say there are new games coming out, but not many are decent at all. So why can't the decent ones last?

Join in and you'll find out.

There are usually factors that will hinder the gameplay experience which aren't noticed immediately. Also, the same game doesn't appeal to all of us.

Hyper for an MMO? Uhhh, nonsense. Now if a game like Dead Rising was an MMO... I'd be interested. However, if a chibi zombie with bunny ears appeared... I'd quit.
