New RTS and RPG for new computer

I've always played only MMORPG with the exception of Warcraft 3, Rise of Nations, Age of Empires Series, and FFIX. I love all these games except Rise of Nations. I'm upgrading this crappy 2002 computer and planning to try some single-player RPG and a new RTS.

My future computer which I'm getting within this month will consist of:
AMD Phenom II X4 965
ASUS M4A87TD EVO
Radeon HD 5770 1GB
6GB RAM

I can only afford 1 RTS and 1 single-player RPG. So far what I have in mind is Supreme Commander 2 as the RTS and Dragons Age: Origin as the RPG. However, I'm open for more suggestions because my focus has always been on MMORPG so I don't know anything about RTS and RPGs.

No Starcraft 1 or Starcraft 2 please.

RPG: Dragon Age: Origins or Oblivion

Oh and I forgot to mention. I kinda dislike modern theme games such as Company of Heroes. I'm more into the swords and magic and futuristic themes.
