I remember saying to myself I would never make a personal thread on here, but whatever its the internet. Not a big deal.

Situation: So I got invited to this Halloween party, you dress up and all that. I was invited by this chick and I know there's gonna be drinking and such, but I aint a big drinker. To make it worse this would (will) be my first party. I know some of the people that will be there but I aint really friends with any of them. This problem takes the cake though: I aint never been really intimate with a women, I'm still a virgin. Don't get me wrong Ive kissed a girl, but I really dont think I want a drunk broad to be my first. So yeah I want to go, but im nervous as hell about what to expect. Im 18 and I figure I gotta live life, but yeah im just nervous hah.

Thanks fellas, its the internet I know but Im actually looking for some solid advice here.

You have to start somewhere, why not here? The more you get out the easier it gets.

People will try to force you to drink, it's not a hard thing to do, and chances are you'll like the feeling after a couple of drinks. You being a light drinker, will puke quite easily. Try not to have more than 1-3. Pace yourself. Nothing more pathetic looking than puking all over someones house.

Go to the party. Don't be nervous. Being nervous will kill you. Figure out what works for you. Stay calm and collected. Easy to say, hard to execute. It gets easier. You can't meet people if you staay inside all day.

EDIT: Alot of people go to parties just to pick fights. If you don't want to fight, don't be a smartass.

well its my freshmen year of college, and the people that are there are gonna be those from highschool. I can get a ride there, but the girl that would pick me up is gonna be drinking and spending the night so im gonna see if I can catch a ride home with someone. Thanks for the advice so far man, yeah I get nervous about everything.

Seriously he is correct about people who go around looking for fights, just keep your cool and never ever leave a party alone after an altercation with someone or a group.

Other than that parties are a blast 9/10 times people just socially drinking maybe playing ruit or beer pong or some type of card game like up and down the river or **** the dealer with music either playing or not (depends the ra's where i am patrol like crazy on Thursdays so we don't play music on Thursdays just a magnet for those assholes.)

So yeah don't over drink and make some small talk you don't really need to hold full length convo's but if that occurs have fun and ill stress it again pace your self being wasted might seem fun but if it happens to often more and more people might begin to avoid partying with you.

Let my tell you as a Junior in high school, spend the night. I have been to countless parties where I got hammered but had to go home and pull myself together. 1. It sucks being hammered at home and trying to act like you are not 2. You don't miss out on anything, and your chances of getting laid are much higher

Honestly drunk sex isnt that big a deal if you use protection. and you know the girl so im sure you know shes safe. its your choice but i say go with the flow and just take it. There are some girls you respect, and your goal (believe it or not) isn't "get them as drunk as possible and have sex with them".

Theres a girl I've been seeing who I actually care about and don't want to end up like that. We drink together all the time, so its hard to avoid.

If its someone you care about, explain "No, not right now. I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I respect you too much for that. Call me, we can do it right...dinner, a movie, etc." If shes worth your time for a relationship, she will understand.

Just don't drink yourself ******ed. I drink (kinda) often, and I have friends come over that don't drink. They try to keep up, and end up dying on my couch at about 9:29. Nobody is gonna think you're a wuss if you're not pounding them down. Grab a drink, and sip it for as long as you want. Don't worry. Edit: Don't sip a beer though, get a mixed drink. Sipping a beer only makes for disgusting, warm beer.
