How is FFXI doing?

After FFXIV came out and the reviews have been pretty rough on it, do you guys see Square-Enix giving FFXI any special attention again (more content, expansions, etc) or will they make XIV their baby now? And how have the populations dropped and risen since XIV's release, if possible to tell?

I ask because now that I have a 360, I'm thinking maybe someday I might want to give FFXI for it a try. I enjoyed it a lot for the PC a few years ago, but since then I've downgraded to a laptop that can't run it.

So any insight would be useful. Thanks!

PS: The 360 version uses the same servers as PC and PS2 users, right?

To be honest, Square Enix is slowly flushing the game down the crapper with the new content updates.

They're basically ruining the game so everyone will quit and play FFXIV instead so they don't have to pay for FFXI's servers anymore.
