    Croix, research.

This is the last Nolan Batman. The last of the series. You probably expected big, fighty villains. Batman isn't for you.

    Oister, you're entirely incorrect. 100%.

Also, Begins was amazing on every level and Ledger didn't carry The Dark Knight either. Nolan is an amazing director, to my tastes. His filmography speaks for itself.

They should make metalcore and deathcore kids Batman's new enemy.

Anyway, I don't really know anything about comix but I'm interested to see who's gonna be in this film. They should give Batman nipples again. Maybe they'll do what I did and just Google "Batman villains" and put the most menacing-looking one into the film. I think Black Mask looks pretty metal. I hope I ain't offending no one. And by no one I mean just Norrin. And by offending no one I mean causing them to cry out in tongues for my admittance of not knowing anything about comix. And spelling comix with an 'x'. Repeatedly.

How? I'm not trying to argue, I'm just curious. I watched the ending scene of the movie, and thats definitely what happened.

Lol, but he would just tear through them. It would be a 2 hour slaughter.

I guess that would be pretty cool. Machete did it, and that was awesome.

No, it's not. Because the whole point was that his redemption comes through being seen in a less than favourable light by the public. Forever. Simply because that's what the city will always need him to be. The city will always see the cops as the out and out heroes, whereas vigilante justice will be seen as outlandish to many. That's why he proposed that he'd take it all on him, he can take the hate and he can evade the cops. He can work to do what the cops can't, with silent support from many of them, all while appearing to be a problem to the public. Resultantly, the police will appear to be hunting

You know where the door is.

What did you expect? You created the thread, obviously people are gonna discuss it. Would you have preferred one-liners that doomed your thread to the second page in about a week, or would you have preferred it to be kept alive by active discussion?

If debates don't appeal to you, leave the thread.

No need to take my post as offensive.

Yes, I expected a discussion, but not a discussion with 1 post taking up the whole page, people will simply avoid reading your posts and you will go mad because they say something that you probably discussed about in your post already.

I'm just saying, probably only one person will read it, out of everyone visiting this thread.

IF they were to do the Riddler you wouldn't get the flare you want Str1der.
In the World/Worlds Nolan's Batman is based off of the riddler is nothing more than a down on his luck genius who whimpers around is pushed around by everyone.
Hes a HUGE drunkard and in general, a pretty pathetic figure overall. So i'm not sure how they could make him the main villain. Anything's possible I suppose though.

What's he ever done that lives in cinematic history? He wasn't close to being the star of Gangs of New York, Titanic was essentially nothing more than a classy chick flick and in Shutter Island his acting was so put-on that it continued to take me out of the experience. Bale has American Psycho and The Machinist at least. People walk around quoting things from American Psycho and Batman movies. Who last quoted a DiCaprio role? If, of course, we're talking lasting memories.
WHERE ARE THE OTHER DRUGS GOING?

    SWEAR TO ME

I love Bale, but I also enjoy DiCaprio. Shutter Island was pretty meh, in my opinion, so I'll agree with you on that one. I liked Titanic, though it definitely wasn't an incredible acting job. Haven't seen Gangs of New York. I thought he was excellent in The Departed, though.

I plan to re-watch Catch Me if You Can, then see Blood Diamond and The Aviator. Then I'll see if your description holds water.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt as The Riddler would be doubly orgasmic. I hope JGL's in Batman 3 somewhere.

In Gangs of New York he was co-lead with Daniel Day Lewis, so I suppose I can't blame him for looking shit.

There Will Be Blood is second in my queue of movies to watch. I can't wait to see him drink some milkshake.

He actually uses the most beautiful, disrespectful, crude insult in that movie. It works SO well, I admire it.

He says, "You slithered out of your mother's filth."

    I got wet.

It wasn't a superhero movie at all, and I'm in a better position to judge that than you are. Iron Man is a superhero movie. Spider-Man is a superhero movie. Batman Begins and The Dark Knight were simply action dramas with a vigilante hero in them. There's a drastically different tone.
Not sure I see the difference. Masked vigilante? Check. Problems with accepting responsibility that comes w/ being the masked hero (in B? Check. If there's another way of looking at deciding whether it's a superhero movie or not, I'm all ears. But to me it follows more superhero movie tropes than it doesn't.
Those aren't superhero movie tropes. The

Dark Knight was such an incredible film, I seriously can't wait for this sequel. I think it was the first real Batman film I've watched throughout and thought, it was damn good.
