The fact is, if I can come up with that, surely someone who is paid millions to come up with this shit could have done so.
I mean, they didn't know Ledger was gonna die, but still. I think the acclaim of a Knightfall-based second movie would've still been good enough to hype for a third. In an ideal world, Ledger would've been alive to be The Joker, or someone else would've. That definitely should've been the last movie. Everything that needed to be said or tied up was said and tied up in The Dark Knight.
You could have a wheelchair-bound Bruce Wayne watching those hockey pad copycats acting in his absense, vowing to get back on the street etc. I guess these people just aren't as much of a conceptual genius as I am.
