Physical struggle is about endurance.
Oh, and people who aren't trained to kick shouldn't try. Easy to knock off balance, and once that happen... you're done.
It's not the quantity of muscle you have, or even how big they are. It's the quality. If you're smaller, don't let him get a hold of you. Going all out early is only viable if you know the other guy has no idea what he's doing, and/or if there's a significant physical gap.
