Well actually if you want a good OS i'd still go with the HTC Aria running android 2.1, but you can easily flash 2.2 aka Froyo onto it.

If you want a phone that you can use to do anything, go with android. If you want to be trendy but still have some functionality go with iphone.

Screen size is 3.2 inches which is only 3 inches smaller than the iphones. And with the way 2.2 optimizes to the phone, i'd take froyo with a slower processor than Iphone OS with a faster processor. It'll run just as fast as the iphone.

The Aria can't hold a candle to the iPhone 4, and besides it's not even AT&T's best Droid offering...if you want to compare a better AT&T android phone, look at the Captivate.

Lol I have an Itouch and I have a HTC Aria.
Typing on the Aria is a pain in the *** and the screen itself is too small for the virtual keyboard for fast typing. The internet itself is slow and I tried on my home Wifi and my School's wifi so I know it is the hardware.
Sorry but I would not buy a small phone like the Aria again unless it has a QWERTY keyboard.

ill agree that the captivate is better spec wise, but the call quality is somewhat suspect.

I am somewhat bias too with Apple and stuff because I own like a lot of apple products. ITouch, Ipod(the big bulky one), Macbook Pro and stuff like those.
I did some research between the Captivate and the Iphone 4 and I would have to go with the Iphone 4.
The Captivate may be a little faster than the Iphone 4 but the pinch and zoom on the Iphone 4 is one of the best out there. Not only that but I much prefer the Iphone 4 design over the Captivate.
About the Aria and it being faster than the Iphone 4; the Iphone 4 will still top the Aria in speed in every aspect.
Trust me I tried web browsing and texting on my 3rd Gen Itouch and it was waaay more efficient than the Aria and my Itouch 3rd Gen is probably slower than the Iphone 4.
The size does make a difference.
