Creative Labs SB X-FI Titanium Fatal1ty Champion Series if you can shell out about $200
Creative Labs X-FI XtremeGamer 24-BIT is around $100
Creative Labs SB Audigy SE is about 30 bucks making it much more affordable.
All good sound cards.

Yes its good but i will add that the sound cards i listed are by 7.1 surround sound.
The particular card you asked about is a 5.1 but honestly anything would be an improvement to on board sound.

Asus' Xonar series is also quite nice.
