This effects non-Americans. If you like any M rated game that has been made by an American studio, if this goes the wrong way we could easily see the end of that. Even studios outside the US would be effected because when planning a game they would have to think "Well I can't sell this in the US, so only T rated content."

Just because its a US Court case doesn't mean its not a global issue.

regardless, from the first I saw of this, I've never thought that the opposing side had a leg to stand on. I don't think there's any chance that this will go through.

Why? Why do people feel the need to change a good thing?

I think its because of the ******s that think everything they see in a game should be imitated in real life -.-

I never play ridiculously violent games, nor do I play horror.
    This doesn't bother me.

Here's a nice little summary of what the facts of the case are about and what the issue is.

It's interesting to note that the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals struck down the law, but they get overturned by the Supreme Court more than any other Circuit

The 9th is kind of a running joke in American Law, but this is one case they weren't wrong on.

after reading and listening to it i have decided that it wont affect much of anything if it does pass, if they stick to there word at least, but then again its the gov

pretty much there not fighting to get rid of violent games there fighting to enforce the law so a kid cant buy it and pretty much just sticking a big 18+ sticker on it or what ever and making it possible to fine a store if they sell it to a minor, just like cigarettes in a lot of states its not illegal to be in possession of a pack of cigarettes its just illegal to sell them to minors

but i still don't want something like this to be passed because it just shows in the future that if they can pass something like this then they will be able to pass something like completely removing violent video games,
just because so many people believe that a kid just because he shoots some enemies in a game is going to go shoot up a school because of that game

i decided a counter argument, if this does pass i will shoot someone and blame it on my lack of video games to remove my urge to shoot people
