    Default Samsung Intercept

So, I'll be upgrading my phone in the next few weeks.

I use Virgin Mobile, so my phone selection is very limited. Right now I use an LG Rumor 2, which gets the job done but lacks any flash compatibility (when I originally got it, I just had a text-only plan...now I have unlimited internet and would really like youtube...)

Anyway, theres a new phone out the LG Rumor Touch. I've read OK reviews on it...and, it does play youtube videos like I would like. It is $150. Its a phone without all the bells and whistles.

Then there is the new choice, the Samsung Intercept. Its $250.

I'm trying to figure out if the extra $100 is worth it to me. Does anyone have this phone? I don't expect anyone to have the Rumor Touch because its mainly only on no-contract plans like mine. The Intercept however I think is available on most networks.

    Thanks!

Its running Android 2.1 with 800MHz. Battery life is 5.5 hours.

Pros: Its an android (and its 2.1). If you can root the phone, then you can almost double your battery life, overclock it, change it's interface. Oh and androids don't need a "jailbreak" to get apps. You can download the files online, etc. etc.

Cons: Its only a good phone if you can root it.

Its worth the $100+ to me. I use to have a Blackberry, then I switched to iPhone, back to Blackberry, then to an android phone (Samsung Vibrant). Best, decision, ever.

An unboxing of the phone to show what you're getting.

$250 seems steep for the quality of the phone you're getting.

Well, the other one is pretty much just a piece of shit.

And I'm expecting a Black Friday sale on it.

    Thanks for the input guys~
