That is pretty much failed logic.
And yes I have been watching all the anime and it's pretty much horrible crap or average.
You just won't see anime with high production quality like Monster or Legend of the Galactic Heroes.
It's easier and more profitable for a company to churn out the same old bland and thin plots over and over then sprinkle some ***** material or some random over the top battles.
There are also the bad anime which try too hard to be different.
They make their characters way too over the top and usually dress them in silly outfits, hairs styles and other stuff.
These character styles are way to erratic.
Characters looks should be only influenced by the character themselves.
For example Tenma dresses nice and his style is influenced by German 1980s fashion. He does this to fit in as he is Japanese.
When on the run he has long hair because of ill-preparation.
He wears a long coat to hide his looks.
A character's traits should affect his looks and not the other way around.
Monster episode 9 had a great example of one episode being it's own story.
It was full of all the necessary parts to make a great show and it was only done in one short episode.
A lot of anime could not achieve this in all of their series while Monster does it in one episode.
It has great character depth, an issue and a conclusion. It does this with no extra baggage. It only uses was is essential to the plot.
A show should not strive for complexity it should try to remain simple and only branch out if the plot demands it and only if it can be done coherently.
Most newer anime have too much added garbage.
They try to become complex just for the hell of it when most of the stuff they throw in can be taken out with the plot remaining perfectly intact with no change in quality.
