The hardest part was getting the Chinese ID, you may want to put somewhere in there that you'll have to get that somewhere else.

I had to remove the first part because it invalidates the rules for the forum.

i got everything set up n what not but when i go to get past the launcher that GPK prot kit opens but it never updates or anything, and then i get little box with 1 clickable, and then it closes.... any idea??

I've never heard of anyone yet encountering that error.
It may have something to do with the external HDD..

To be safe I would recommend installing the game on your
main Hard Drive on the current PC you're using to play Dragon's Nest.

Some files may have been corrupt while transfering the HDD
to your computer, or it just isn't compatible with the computer you're using.

It's best to download the game on the computer you're using
so it has less of a chance of getting an error. This is the best advice
I could offer, just redownload it on the computer you're using.



Maybe a simple restart would help.
Otherwise just go through all the current chinese options they give you.

And.. Please make sure you didn't install the English Patch before you did the first quest.

i downloaded it to the computer i was using it on first, then i copied the install over to the external HDD... i have also tried reinstalling, dont have any background programs conflicting... not sure what else to try

Use your brother's laptop.

Otherwise.. I'd recommend talking to Hero(Sushi) on his Guild Ventrilo.
Maybe he could help you out, but im getting some sleep, sorry!

Dragon nest is such a fun game. Played the JP version 2 months ago. Only thing i disliked was that there was no one that spoke english lol and only some parts of the game were translated in english but as for the gameplay... 10/10. Just waiting for the english version now.

Did you compare what programs you have installed/running in the background to your brothers computer? Somethings definetly conflicting with it just need to find out what.

yea but his process list has a bunch of stuff from win7 when i am only using WinXP, so his list is alot longer than mine, but the things i have on my list are there on his aswell + some...

Hmmm. When I hit the "Start game" button, I get blue screened and my computer crashes, anyone have a fix for this/suggestions?

I'm almost sure it has something to do with your graphics card.
Check your computer system requirements to see if it's compatible.

Minimum Requirements:

CPU: 1.4 GHz Pentium 3
RAM: 512 MB Free
HDD: 3 GB Free
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce 5200 or better

Am i the only one that can't finish the last part of the dialogue for the first mage quest i've tried restarting my computer and restarted dragon nest multiple times and its not working anyone know how to fix it?

edit: nvm stupid me didn't read the warning about not adding the english patch before doing the first quest
