The new 250gb xbox360 or a ps3?
Reputation: 36PS3. Free online, awesome games, beautiful graphics etc.
Even if xbox has better games, and better graphics (Which in my opinion, it does not) it doesn't matter because PS3 has free online, hehe.
Reputation: 162I would go for the 360.
Better exclusives and multiplatform games tend to run better most of the time.
Easy answer:
Get whatever one more of your friends have/play. Regardless which is technically better, you'll have more fun playing with people you know.
Another easy answer:
Get whatever one has more exclusives that interest you. There are a lot of multi-platform games, but obviously if you hate Halo and Left 4 Dead, but love games like LittleBigPlanet and Metal Gear Solid 4, PS3 may be for you. Sames goes the other way too. If you love Halo and Left 4 Dead (or other Xbox exclusives), go with Xbox.
My opinion:
If you plan on playing online and use a wireless connection, go with the new Xbox 360 Slim. It has built in Wireless-N and Xbox Live in general is a better service than PSN, worth the $3.33 a month I pay for it (look around for cheaper 12-month Gold cards online if you decide to go with the 360, can save like $10-20 on it). PSN used to struggle to connect on my wireless, disconnect randomly and in general run slower than the Xbox 360 has.
Otherwise, wired, (I'm guessing) the systems are pretty similar. It boils down to which you'll personally have more fun with and the exclusives. As well as whether or not you mind paying for Xbox Live.
There are other smaller things I like about each system as well...
- Better headset support on Xbox 360 (it comes with one, so more people use it).
- Party Chat on Xbox Live (voice chat with friends regardless of what games you're playing).
- 360's Kinect is at least a little more innovative than PS3's Move, which is a blatant Wii rip-off IMO.
- I hate the fact I can't copy video files and MP3's onto the 360, like I could with the PS3.
- I loved that the PS3 controllers were rechargeable right out of the box, though they're more expensive.
ps3, i personally have both and in the 2 years of having my ps3 i have had no problems, great online experience, very few immature children cursing for no apparent reason
my 360 broke down 3 times (RROD) within the year and 3 months i have had it and it has not enough benefits online for the cost
Having owned GTA4 for 360 and PS3, I actually ran into more children (or people that sound a lot like children) on the PS3. Even some cursing for no apparent reason lol. It really surprised me. I run into more southern (USA) people on the 360, but at least they sound like they're 18 or older.
But it may just be that particular game.
I hate you OP.
