late 80's early 90's were the best years for rap and hip hop, late 90's early 2000(2000-2004 ?) were the best years for RnB.
I've been into the whole underground scene right now, and there's a lot of good musicians but I presume we're talking mainsteam.
Been jamming to some remix's of everything from dubstep to nas over nujabes lately. It's like taking a really good style of music and adding some flavor to it.
