Being a german myself, i can assure you that german is a terrible language to sing in. The most german musicians and bands prefer to sing in english because german is just so ridiculous if used in metal songsGerman metal bands sing in English for no real reason, other than the image they want to convey.
So, yea, it's cheesy in a way no other Metal scene is.
they are extremely metal. not extreme metal, though![]()
but wait ramstine is german n they sing in german lol
edit: there metal to
Reputation: 677Well, the point is not that it's a song in German.
The song is about the what I am talking about.
"We're all living in America!";
Those would be one of the points where you can feel free jump in and say "Uh, but that is like totally not true, not everyone lives in the Americas, saying that or acting like it makes no sense."
Well, that's what the song is aiming to communicate.
You do realise that the song is about America and how the band perceive it as being a rather bullying superpower, trying to spread itself unwantedly across the world, right?
It's about that.
You continue to make literally zero sense.
You know what other European bands sing in English, since you seem to be so obsessed with proving a point with that (or at least that's all I'm understanding from you)? Dimmu Borgir, Ensiferum, Children of Bodom, In Flames, Bathory, Dissection, Rhapsody of Fire, Dark Moor, Fairyland, Thy Majestie, Volbeat, Winter's Verge, Firewind, and literally thousands and thousands of other bands.
why are we talking about Rammstein anyway. the only way Rammstein are extreme is in how goddamn strange they are ]
hey o,p have some more extreme metulz
Reputation: 677I talked about that in my first post.
You know when I see a person respond to a post, I usually go into one direction first:
Seeing the post as a reflection of the persons mind.
If you are insecure about metal, write a ****ing blog. There you can safely reinforce yourself and rule and conquer the input of others.
To bad I anticipated how this would go... (edit: not meant to be ironic)
I am not trying to make a point.
I am explaining how it is.
You are not able to accept something as simple as that, fine.
I don't feel the need to fight you, because I don't live in the same escapism as you do; Mine and my reason why I use forums is different.
This is a topic you have zero background on. Your opinion is irrelevant anyway.

I've enjoyed Deadlock (melodic death metal) for years, and recently started listening again. Give the albums Earth.Revolt, Wolves and Manifesto a try, if you're interested. Those are the three that include the female vocalist for more than just guest vocals, which is a huge plus in my book because she has a great voice. If you like Scar Symmetry, I'd say there's an outside chance you might like these guys. The ex-singer/screamer of Scar Symmetry even makes an appearance on the Deadlock song 'Dying Breed'.
Though I suggest you try Manifesto last. While I think it's really good and catchy, personally, the lyrics are terrible (infact, the lyrics on all the albums kinda suck, but particularly on that album) and it's essentially one long PETA ad. Makes me cringe sometimes, but they still win me over.![]()
Reputation: 424Yeah I own the CD of Wolves, great album.I love Melodeath, it made it easier for me to listen to stuff like Hour of Penance and Fleshgod Apocalypse. Even Cannibal Corpse without cringing. It's a shame a lot of metalcore bands that rip Swede-riffs from it can't do good-cop-bad-cop vocals decently.

Reputation: 218I like this new shit LaBrie put out. It's so damn good.
