Default I need one, simple question answered!

I'm currently downloading RoM (Runes of Magic), BUT, from what i can read, but not recently seeing as many posts i see are from about 4-5 months ago, the game is dependent on cash shop and the support and admins and moderators is completely corrupt.

Please, can someone help me, that plays at this time, and knows whats going on.

Is it really cash shop dependent and are the admins and etc abusive?

    Thanks in advance!

It's fun enough. Don't worry about the admins and the CS for now.

The game is extremely cashshop dependent in the later levels if you want to survive in instances / PvP

The admins make terrible changes that imbalance the game further, but other than that they don't do much. I've never seen a single gold slammer get banned.

I used to play a year ago, quit, started a month ago, and just quit again last week. It's a good game though. Give it a try...it's not as bad as I make it sound.

Paladuck I like your answer haha. I can tell you have plenty of experience with MMORPG's, as do I.

And Garkuza thanks, that seems to be the same thing that people have been saying. Nice to know that it's good enough to give it a try though. Thanks for the help yall. Def. gonna let the huge 7gb dl finish now.... a little too long lol.

I agree with Paladuck, but I refuse to play the game cause of the dual class system. You got to switch the secondary class to your primary class and switch gear to level up that class.

Its a poor execution of a nice feature. They could have done it very similar to GW or even DDO.

Yup, you have to switch back and forth between the classes. What makes it worse is you cannot do it on the fly. Got to go back to an NPC to do it (or was it the house?).

Lol ***** you're almost making me not want to play.. This almost sounds like a pain in the *** now, and thats just one feature..

I don't even play but that sounds almost idiotic.. Might as well just take out the whole feature, as sadly as it is implemented.. Almost as if its not really a "dual class system" more like a "dual character sysyem" lol.

Nah, it's an NPC in a main city. :P

Yeah, the whole concept of it was great to implement, but it did become a chore to think about. Fun at times, but overall it just got... tedious, almost.

I'd say just try it out and have fun for a bit.

Yup, you have to go all the way back to your house...or you buy a super convienent house teleport thing in the cashshop

And honestly you don't need to worry about the cashshop until endgame or near endgame. The dual classes aren't bad since you get combo specific skills and there's 2 areas to level in for your level range (1 for 1 class and 1 for the other)

The secret to RoM is getting in a haxed guild from square one. If you can get into a guild full of cash shop whores that don't care if you don't use the store, you will find yourself making a boatload of cash from the guild sieges that take place, usually on a daily basis (if the guild is active). Sell the gear you get from winning and you will find yourself with a crapton of currency end game to be able to play a little marketing strategy. The game just takes time. Overall it's good, but I quit so yeah... xD

If you're the type of person who likes to try a lot of different alts, you won't mind the dual class system as much. If I remember right there are multiple zones for each level range so you can still quest if you're trying to level your second class, it won't be a complete grind.
