    Default Face of mankind

I will give a chance to FoM anyone here is playing? I heard this game don't have starting guide/tutorial so It would be great if someone from this forum could help me in game with newbie questions. My IGN will be - RIKON

btw How good is the game?

What kind of "-" and "+" does it have?

I read that ppl. are building/making the game economic... Thats sounds nice.
There is OPEN PK but should be aware from Police they can put u in jail(dont know for how long time). After PK'ed someone Your victim will drop something from his inventory - again it's sounds good.

I hope this game is high populated.

Face of Mankind, best mmorpg concept there is IMO.

It's got an extremely steep learning curve, and it's not for the light hearted.

Most people quit after less than an hour of play due to impatience and confusion.

It's a game all about community.

The way I like to put it is, in Face of Mankind, there is literally NOTHING to do, unless you have an imagination and make something to entertain you, such as a hitman contract, drug deal, cop killing spree, etc.

There are cops, called the LED, and numerous other factions all fighting for control of the Global Dominion which is the name of the galaxy FoM is located in.

Great game, definitely one of my favorites of all time, but if you are a typical onrpg user then gtfo this game isn't for you. It takes a long time to get used to, and you have to play this game with a different attitude then you would any other regular MMORPG.

I really hope I'll stick at FOM because i'm getting bored from other F2P MMORPGs because they all are same with graphic differences and thats all. I have tried almost all F2P . I have only sticked at Atlantica online - itsl il bit unique with turn based combo. Conquer online- PK and PVP. Cabal online - Flashy skills, dungeons, PVP but its very similar to others F2P MMORPGS. Runes of Magic- very similar to WoW but F2P. AVA- best MMOFPS i have ever played.
Ryzom - unique with crafting, skills etc. (but too bad it P2P)

Thats all others anime/comic games i have played is so boring...

Maybe You know which game could be unique and fun with nice PvP, PK, GUILDS etc. Because I really can't find any F2P MMORPG which could attach me...

I have to agree. Only ones I've stuck with have been Mabinogi and Atlantica. Oh, and Drakkar.

Yeah Mabinogi look good i tried it but I dont really like anime graphic. But I have heard in Mabinogi You can craft many things, do many things like farming, cooking etc.

Played premium, still have about 5 million UC $.

There are some things you can do in this game.

    Killing gank spree... fun...

Kiss lots of *** and hope that in maybe a couple of years you will be accepted by the old players and given a position of authority within your faction.

Farm... if you play premium... and uh... yeah.

Cool concept, not that cool in reality.

Me and my friends duped a bunch of money and gave it out to people.
Don't play this game unless you like getting banned for stupid reasons (Not duping)

Last time I played the shooting was still awful and was gear/item based, So don't expect to win many fights even if you're a better shot than your enemy when you start out.

Also, you won't see much action. The entire game is a e-peen war and the only action you'll see is if someone wants to cause trouble or you cause trouble. If you cause it you become blacklisted or kicked out of your faction.

Which leads to you sitting in your home town patrolling for attackers since that will be most of your missions. You'll be bored since not many people attack and when they do if they shoot you first you might as well just give up because by the time you pull out your gun, put it in aiming mode, and start firing you'll be dead anyway. Why you ask? Because you run slower with your gun out and if you have it out most fellow faction members will tell you to hostler it even though you're on patrol.

The game was more interesting when it re-released a while back and there was a lot of new players and gankers. Now it is mostly quiet, with e-peen wars and power trips.

Also, crafting and mining is just putting in a quantity on a machine and waiting for it to finish auto-completing.

    This.
Even though because of the community driven wars it's possible to take it in your own hands and gank at them, people will follow I hope.

By the way, don't play this game if you are "bored" of all others, this game has a harsh learning curve as stated before.

Your joking bro, this game got updated massively since beta...o0 you must be blind.

As far as the game goes....it's a self-destructive design and very niche, hence why there's maybe 50~100 people online at one time which isn't really enough to do much at all. Most of the time you'll either be pussyfooting around doing really boring crap unless the leaders get bored and decide to start a war over stupid shit in which case colonies get jacked left and right then EC takes the game over for the 50th time making everyone either stop playing for a while/quit/or join EC.

The game was destined to fail from the beginning, the way it's setup is for you to not want to have war with any factions, but the game is made to be boring unless you have war...so it's kind of lame but there were a lot of fun times in it I suppose. I would be interested in seeing the changes nexeon makes to it but I really really doubt it will bring more players including myself back to it.

More people atm play forums of mankind rather than face of mankind, and the old developer was what made me quit last time I played....they were so corrupt they kept unbanning obvious repeat-offense hackers because they were all buddy-buddy with them and kissed some *** I'm guessing. Oh well.

FoM could be really fun they just need to add in some more updates for the free players and some more PvE worlds.

Hell, they should just use the engine and remake FoM into a completely new game. If they used the same basic design but updated there features it could turn out to be something good.

This was pretty much my experience with this game, plus with the way the system works, it's really sadhow many douchebags and a-holes still play this game. Faction based control means nothing and the PVP is a joke.

Let me guess, FDC? Or did you play in LED? Yah...lol

No but really what I'm saying is the game differs a lot from faction to faction...mercs pretty much just go out and kill people for money for an hour, then sit in jail for another hour or two humping each other. Rinse repeat.

FDC/LED is really boring and mostly just standing around guarding random shit, which is of course what leads to so many cases of "omg this LED molestered me qq" to the r5+'s because the lower ranks get so bored out of their minds.

EC and VI just pretty much run the economy side of the game, and EC (what I was in) just basically does eco shit for a month, gets bored and ends up against FDC/LED/GoM in some sort of weird 2v4 situation that always seems to happen. (or seemed rather)

CMG pretty much just ****s around and does mining contracts, nothing really fun. GoM just stands around and humps each other whilst spamming medkits to sell for rediculous prices to people they don't like (ironically) and whenever a war comes they just run around getting blown to pieces while missing 20 billion shots with their silly little medguns...lmao.

And yah I agree the pvp was pretty much a joke, I used to 1v3 people and **** them.

So, in other words, it's an experiment instead of an actual game. Sounds rather douchey.

Played the game when they re-released it, it was really awesome, everybody was roleplaying.
Now a couple days ago I redownloaded the game with some friends, we entered the game and there were only like 20 people in NYC, and didn't see any LED.
