It says there is an error retrieving purchase history when I go to the downloads tab on the games for windows client. But it says I already bought the game if I try to buy it again.

Download the games for windows Client, its like steam for Windows games.

after that sign up with the account you used. Then press Downloads>all downloads then you'll find it there ya nab.

If it ask for CD key just go to Donloads>all downloads> Age of Empires III (you'll see "view game keys".

Thanks for the heads up. I never bothered downloading anything from them but this is a good start. Ugh need to update windows. Should have known.

EDIT: No game keys showing up. So even when I buy a game I have to use cracks. Good work Microsoft. I never had this problem with Steam.

Yeah they ran out of cd keys for now a few forum posts have said so. This is the same thing that happened on steam with risen when it was half off last week, man such bad luck

Due to the overwhelming success of the Age of Empires III sale, we have temporarily run out of keys to unlock the game. You can still buy the game at this amazing price and you will get/see a key in the next week. When new keys are added to the system you will be auto-assigned a key, there is no need to call support or take any other action from your end. We will post here on the forums when the keys are available and the next time you click 'View Game Keys' for the game you should be assigned one.

FYI because some people are in countries where the Marketplace website is not launched yet.

The deal is for all regions where the game is available in the Games on Demand service. If you live in a country that the webiste does not support yet or says 'comming soon' when you log in, you can still get the game for 10 cents if you go purchase it through the GFW Marketplace Client application. You can download the app at the link below or look for the link at the bottom right of the marketplace website. Then sign-in with your LIVE account and go to the game's page to purchase it.

I know about the client. I get that error AFTER I click on all downloads. :S
