Probably one of the best thing VALVe has done so far. What's even more awesome is that they added a competitive section to the Beta forums.

The Natascha fix(The 3rd one) is probably the way to go honestly.

Wrangler needs a fix on the shield.(Remove shield completely while the sentry is down, bring dmage reduction to maybe 50%)

Sandman is lost and long forgotten.

Give some love to vanilla melee weapons(Fire Axe, Bonesaw, Shovel) by giving indirect buffs to them.(See Blutsuger and Needle Gun for reference)

I've had TF2 sitting on my steam account for quite some time, but never bother to install it. Maybe this is a good time to finally try it out?

It's not like much different from the regular TF2, it just gives you achievement + cosmetic items you got from offers like L4D2 or the Poker Night item. It does however have 3 different variants of Natascha. Other than that it's same old TF2.

Riot balances based on what you say - the community.

more like Riot balances the game on Elementz's tier list and the crying/complaining of the community. Soraka was good, too many people in their forums cried about her. Nerfed to oblivion. Ezreal? people cried about he pokes too much. Nerfed so bad. Pantheon's HSS? some "council" guy wrote about and Riot nerfed it to being useless. Then buffed a bit, then back down. Now they buffed HSS again and people are complaining about it again.

I was disappointed in TF2. I used to play the original Team Fortress when it was released for Quakeworld. I also played TFC for the original half-life and liked it. When TF2 came out it wasn't that bad, but the unlocks, and the hats, and all the other toys and halos got old quick.

I did play Fortress Forever which was a throwback to the original TF, but I don't know if people still play that mod.
