    Default Sci-Fi Movies?

    Ithian's thread reminds me.

Anyone got any good/bad sci-fi movies to recommend? I don't care about the reviews, really, some movies are so bad they're awesome.

I've already seen the following, to narrow things down, and to give you more an idea of what I mean:

    • Event Horizon
    • Sphere
    • Alien Tetraology (Sigourney Weaver is a huge boss, btw)
    • Ghosts of Mars
    • Mission to Mars
    • Pandorum
    • Sunshine
    • Alien vs. Predator
    • Moon
    • Outlander
    • All Star Treks
    • Pitch Black & Chronicles of Riddick
    • Stargate (Original) + Ark of Truth + Infinity

That's all I can really think of, at the moment, but I've probably seen tons more.

As I said, I don't care about how well they're reviewed; bad/terrible movies can still be a very good time (Sphere, Event Horizon) (Though if you recommend me really awful movies like Star Trek V: The Search for God, I just might have to banhammer you.*)

So yes. Lay the recommendations on me, if you would all be so kind.

    * Not seriously, of course.

Stargate and Pitch Black are good choices.

You named two I forgot to put on the list >.< . Good recommendation though, were awesome movies. I guess I'll update the list everytime new things get posted, if I've seen them.

Well Equilibrium isn't all that sci-fi really... It's more of an action film/dystopian kinda thing than anything. But I'd recommend it also.

Well, the plot is pretty science fiction-esk. The fact that a society uses a man made drug to eliminate emotion is in that area.

Yeah, I figured as much. But it doesn't really eliminate, it just suppresses. And I say it's not really sci-fi because we have those types of drugs readily available to us right now.

    2001: A Space Odyssey

One of the best movies of all time. Get it in HD if possible.
