I dunno if this helps or not,
back up everything
and
system restore or reformat the harddrive if you have the Windows Xp CD or wateva your using.

You could do this, but then again, since it is in the registry and installed...Probably wont go away.

I would go with Saint's suggestion. Remove/Edit(If it will let you set it to 0), also, you can/might be able to end the execute on start up.
