Was IE 8 ever compatible with Windows 7? For the life of me, I cannot find an IE 8 download for Windows 7.

I can find IE 9 beta, but I don't ****ing want it. I want IE 8, or some other non-beta version.

I don't want the beta, because its telling me it requires updates, and, for some stupid reason, I can't update right now.

I'm ready to kill something small with a hammer.

If you can't find it, it's probably been disabled. Go to Control Panel > Uninstall a Program > Turn Windows Features on or off and check Internet Explorer 8.

I'm having a buttload of issues installing Maple Story, and I'm really thinking this is the reason.

Edit: The box WAS indeed unchecked, my computer is thinking about maybe doing something now that I've clicked it.

Edit2: Well, it seems that I do indeed have IE 8, and it IS indeed running, but for some reason it won't even connect to Google. Lmfao. God I hate computers so much. I'm just gonna reinstall Windows 7 fresh tomorrow. **** this.

Edit3: HAH. resetting IE 8 under tools>internet options>advanced>reset worked for me. THank you Murxidon, I'm gonna rep you forever.

I'm not using it willfully. Note how hard it was for me to reactivate the shit because I hated it so badly. I removed it from my computer as best as I could, just Maple Story requires it to run for some ******ed reason.
